Wow, where do I start with Lauren and Sean’s day. Lauren is a childhood friend of mine. We did Ballet together and got on so well. Growing up, Lauren’s mum was very poorly so her Dad brought her along to every single dance lesson. He was the most amazing man, and her mum was the most amazing woman. Tragically, Lauren lost her brother very young, shortly followed by the loss of her wonderful mum. Her dad became her best friend and they did everything together. Sadly, Laurens dad, Les, also passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly.
I will never be able to comprehend how it’s possible for someone to go through so much loss in such a short period of time and remain the most lovely, kind, and positive person I know.
When Lauren met Sean, he picked up all the pieces of her that were broken and helped to put them back together again. He became her rock.
Lauren wrote a letter to her family as a tribute to them on her wedding day. We filmed this privately. Just me, Lauren, and her best friend. When I heard it, I knew it would be the beating heart of their wedding film. Lauren also sent me some home videos that we incorporated into the film so that her parents were included in the memories of the wedding day. This is probably my most intentional, emotional film yet and I feel so honoured to be able to share it with the world.
